Social Studies – We are continuing our study of the southern region of the United States. From slavery to the abolishment of slavery we will be exploring the people, the issues, and the resources.

Religion – We are reviewing the Old Testament. Currently we are studying Joshua and Jericho.  For each installment of the Old Testament we will be watching a Vegetales video.  At the end of each video we compare and contrast the biblical story to the animated story.

Reading – Time to start reading that next book!  Our next book report will be an oral book report, Undecided.  A book list to help guide the students' selection will be going home this Friday.

Language – We are practicing and learning singular and plural possessive nouns.  We will be reviewing possessive nouns so that nothing will have been forgotten over our snow break.

Science – We are now completing our study of animals, their kingdoms, and the environments that they live in. We will be watching some episodes from Planet Earth in class this week to see the many amazing creatures God has created and the unique environments they live in.
